Thanks for the enjoyable lesson Seiji. As a beginner Japanese speaker, I’ve found that Seiji speaks in a very clear and understandable manner and at a pace I can keep up with. Furthermore Seiji’s English is strong so he has been able to answer or explain anything I don’t fully understand quite easily. I’ve found Seiji to be very flexible and prepared for the lessons so far and on top of this is a friendly and easy to talk to fella. Cheers.

I had a very good first lesson with Seiji. After self introductions we went over some grammar points and useful vocabulary. I really like that he typed the notes in a shared Google document as he taught. He also used pictures for the practices. I think that this a very effective way to learn and review. I highly recommend his class!

すごいでした！セイジせんせいはてんさいです！ Seiji-sensei is very polite, cheerful, and friendly! He was also very patient and gracious when I made mistakes. He is very well prepared, experienced, and competent. He showed me websites and shared a document to aid my learning! He was very good at identifying the areas where I most need work. Would reccommend!

It was our first lesson. seiji was incredibly prepared & had a lot for us to work with. other people mentioned this in their reviews but this can’t be stressed enough: he makes a shared document and types on it throughout the lesson (in both kanji and hiragana for a beginner like me) to both record the lesson and give you references while you practise. he doesn’t write in romaji, which i like because i really need to practise reading kana. he cares more about practising conversation than using the structure of a textbook, but there’s never dead air and a student doesn’t need to drive the lesson if they want to rely on seiji for direction. he’s very inspired! i really like his practical mindset for focusing on conversation and i’m looking forward to future lessons. he has a great, friendly attitude and is very reassuring/comforting, and the pace isn’t slow so the lessons are still quite challenging and not at all boring.
